Wine tasting
The roots of Jerusalem Wineries and the Mishkenot Sha’ananim windmill reach back to the same point in time: the mid-nineteenth century when Jewish entrepreneurs launched both of these ventures. Today, Jerusalem Wineries runs a visitor center in the windmill, which will host you in a workshop on the fascinating link between wine and history.
A winery guide will regale you with stories about and the wisdom behind Jerusalem Wineries, the history of wine in Israel, the winemaking process, and the connection between people and their fermented grapes. As you taste the wine varieties, you will nibble on cheese and other delicious hors d’oeuvres paired just right.
The event includes
- Explanations from a qualified wine guide
- Wine tasting
- Tasting cheeses, dips and bread
